Liyang cuibo tea is produced in Liyang, Jiangsu Province.

Liyang is located in the Jiangsu South Plain and is crisscrossed by numerous bodies of water, including five lakes and lots of river. The city’s abundant freshwater is the crucial resource for its agricultural sector and tourist-oriented service industry.

Like its neighbors, Liyang is on the subtropical belt and its weather is influenced by a maritime monsoon climate, a mild and humid climate with distinct four seasons. The annual average temperature is 15-16ºC with the highest 38.6ºC recorded in the summer of 1988 and the lowest -15ºC in the winter of 1977. The average rain precipitation is 1,160 mm annually and the total sunshine time is close 2,000 hours.

 

Liyang is a county-level city with a history of 2,200 years. This name started using in 221 B.C, the Spring-Autumn Warlord Period. In Shui Dynasty (591 A.D), Liyang was established as a prefecture.
